Thank you Murphy! I was trying to be helpful by posting here, but the next day my laptop didn't want to be charged (again)... swapped the power supply (again) and everything was good (again).
Who to blame? My kids (again) ....luckily I buy the replacements from DealExtreme for $12.44 incl. shipping so it's not going to ruin me
