Mr. Vader goes to Wall Street
Darth Vader and his henchmen invaded the New York Stock Exchange on [December 22, 2009] with the Dark Lord presiding over the ringing of the opening bell.
Vader was accompanied by four stormtroopers on the exchange's podium as President of Lucas Licensing Howard Roffman opened trading on the world's most famous stock exchange.
Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker's trusty robot companion R2D2 roamed the trading floor, chatting with dealers and soaking up the atmosphere.
Clearly the presence of the force had an impact on traders, with stocks soaring to a 14-month high on the back of upbeat housing data.
