I recenlty spent a good hour finding out about this home-grown (?) meme after clicking on a stray link this weekend.
It's not particularly inventive, but I still absorbed as many examples of them I could find, if ony because it was funny for a spell.

Guile Theme goes with everything
(I think the basic premise is that choice examples of popular and influential cinema and television relevant from the early to mid-90s, up until now, receive a new rendition edgy-and-upbeat BGM, courtesy of the
Guile background theme. I didn't even know what it sounded like before this weekend, but now its etched into my mind.)
(I really went uncontrollable with raucous laughter at the 10-second mark.)
