Roast Quail (French)

Only twice have I had a proper French meal, but the first time I sat down with one it was a dish with a roast quail and a duck leg.

Quail is a largely French thing, and so I don't see it available on menus usually. Apparently it's also included in Maltese, Portuguese, and some Indian cuisine as well, but I think it would be even rarer for me to find it that way.

My SO isn't too keen on French cuisine, and I'm not sure how much she'd enjoy Maltese or Portuguese, so I really should go out of my way on my own to find it.

So, yeah, roast quail. Try it. It's not like a chicken but smaller...they're uniquely delicious.
