If she really means something to you, it sounds like you might have some work to do in the communication department. I, like others, wonder if there isn't something else going on here emotionally. If she isn't completely into it, then she could definitely not be relaxing enough.
There is always the chance that she just really isn't built to handle the girth. Some women aren't. Regarding baby references - there are many women who can't give birth vaginally either. Often, they are small women, with small birth canals and vaginal cavities. The size of the woman doesn't necessarily mean anything related to the size (or ability to take size) of her vagina though. Just like the size of a man, means very little about the size of his member.
