I'll just say that "Art" isn't a value judgement. It can be of poor quality or offensive or derivative or facile or easy to do or all of these things. That doesn't exclude a work from being "Art".
For example, a coworker at lunch the other day said that Picasso's work wasn't Art because he didn't like it. He prefers old masters.
This makes no sense to me. You don't have to like Picasso, but what then are his paintings? A method for stress testing drywall? Good grief.
