Not sure why, but I feel the need to want to explain my "snapshot" selection. I first came to know of the track because of the music video, and then learned quickly thereafter that the woman who played the distraught (tripped-out) mother was none other than Kirsty Hawkshaw, the same vocalist who performed
It's a Fine Day. So, because the origins of the track Halcyon directly comes from the work of Opus III's (it's basically toned-up and more melodic version, but played / sung backwards), I decided to make a play on what it is perceived. If
It's a Fine Day is relating to it being a nice, beautiful day, I thought the positive antithesis to this would be a nice, spectacular evening. The goings-on in the image is just an effect of winding light streams produced from the passing cars, and I thought this blended nicely with what you hear when you listen to the song. In addition, but as a bonus, in the music video to the track, with what seems to be a frightened mother possibly under the influence of drugs / pharmaceuticals, it also is cool that the above image gives off that protrayed effect of "
tripping", by which the paddy fields actually glow luminescently in the dark passage of the rolling hills there. That's all.
