I'm going to pick refrigeration as the best invention.
It's allowed us to transport food over vast distances for longer periods of time without spoiling over much.
Allowed us to keep fresh food in our kitchens longer without all of the old preservation techniques.
It's really good at keeping my Pudding Pops nice and cold, too.
