Timeless? We've only had each invention in its current form for the past 100 years or so.
There was no toilet paper during the Civil War, nor were indoor washrooms really apparent in the majority of homes until after WWII.
Holes in the ground and your left hand are still used in a majority of the world that you are just unaware of...
But, I do see your point, and I give you kudos.
One for the win column: the rise and ubiquitousness of
