It might just be the hippie town I live in, but we've had several successful and peaceful antiwar rallies since the start of the war in Afghanistan on my college campus. There is also a weekly vigil put on by the Women in Black
worldwide vigils | Women in Black - for justice against war. They stand on the steps of the student union for an hour or so.
Bear in mind, I live in a town where there is a nightly--yes, nightly--peaceful antiwar protest in front of the County Courthouse.
