Pfsh, maybe if you live in the middle of nowhere... I haven't actually been on Sprint yet, but looking at CNet's independent coverage map, Sprint is very good for urban markets, and it also allows for roaming on Verizon for free, so there's really no disincentive. Unless, of course, you prefer to be on the most expensive carrier instead of the least expensive

They did suck quite a bit years ago, but they've gotten their act together. People just have long memories when it comes to cell carriers - probably because of the 2 year contracts.
While I like WiMax for 4G, I certainly like GSM over CDMA, so Sprint and Verizon both lose there.
