I think it depends on how you perceive "scary." I agree, I am not
scared by any of the movies on the list, but they elicit specific emotions that other moves are less likely to cause. Am I
scared watching The Thing? No. But am I
bored? Does it give me the same feelings as watching an action movie? Also no. So, scary is the best way to describe such movies, even if I'm not hiding behind the couch.
