Do you think it's merely a question of religion? Some would say that what Al Qaeda does is merely a question of religion. Should sympathies be spared for them as well?
You need not worry. The lion's share of the wrongdoings precipitated by your federal government is targeted at non-Americans. And there is now a long list of such activities. Why not focus on those? They're the ones that cost the most.
