I really don't know anything about his personal life but I hope he was happy since he sure gave me and many others plenty of enjoyment.
As a kid I always watched and really enjoyed Mission Impossible and he was a key part of that TV show. Of course Airplane was so stupid funny I'm laughing now just thinking about it. I'll ask my two boys (14 & 15yo) if they've ever watched it...I think they haven't yet, so I'll encourage them to give it a try.
