The thing is... our idea of the cinematic hero has changed. Arnold's days are done. Stallone's days are done. You can't really go back. Bruce Willis changed things when they made Die Hard and Matt Damon put the final nail in that coffin when they made the Bourne Identity.
Today's hero looks more like a cross between Plan 9 and Will Smith.
