You asked for opinions, so here you go: communication by text/email is NOT the same as face-to-face communication. You should not be discussing your feelings via these media--you should be talking about them in person. Email and text do not carry the same amount of information as face-to-face communication. You should look for information on how to improve the communication climate in your relationship and how to effectively manage conflict.
