The Boss 302 is an awesome motor especially the one that would be in a '68 Cougar. Back in those days there was less talk about "metrification" but in any case, all U.S. motors were sized in cubic inches, ci, not cubic centimeters, cc. A 302cc motor would be good to power a weed wacker or small-medium motorcycle.
302 ci = 4948cc or ~ 5 Liters
