Mine was a loss, but what a spectacular game!
2002? ish. 8 player Age of Kings on an archipelago map (biggish islands and with small rivers in between). The action was fast and furious with the opposition having one guy almost completely taken out quite quickly. My team was in what we thought was a dominant position, when the strongest team member on the other team starts to build Wonder. In Age of Kings a Wonder victory is achieved if it is built and stands for 200 years (game time).
An epic battle is fought trying to take down the six castles he has clustered around his wonder, with the (almost) dead guy coming in at the last minute after spending the entire game hiding in a corner, rebuilding, to help defend the wonder. We had almost destroyed it when the time was up
