Ah, actually it works quite a bit differently than pantheon's. It's closer to a ranged skillshot version (~700) of cho'gath's except in % and in a small aoe. But otherwise it doesn't actually do any damage. So its not quite like any ult.

have you tried playing practice games against bots? You can win in 11.5 minutes (in twisted treeline). So even with the exp/ip penalty you still make more than you would if you had won a real game at 25 minutes. I usually play 1 every other day to try new things and take my frustrations out
Not as fun I'm sure as destroying newbs but at least my account gets the IP.
