I had BR in 2006, I went from a 44F to a 40c and I'VE NEVER BEEN HAPPIER IN MY LIFE.
When my surgery was over they had taken 4 pounds off my chest, thats almost the weight of a normal bag of sugar.
THE OP stated the girl went from an H to a C, this is a HUGE difference, I was just an F and it meant 4 pounds, hers was probably between 6-8 pounds off.
I can find shirts that actually fit now, I can actually buy a dress because my top is proportionate with the rest of me, and being able to find clothes that fit and not live in XXX tshirts DOES give me more self esteem. I do not have to pay 4 times the price nor go to a specialty store to get bras, I can go into walmart and grab one for under 8 bucks. I've not had one single migraine in 3 years, I can stand at the sink and wash dishes without back pain, I can shop places with concrete floors without having to come home and take a muscle relaxer. I don't have to move my tits out of the way when I'm in the bathtub shaving my legs, I dont have to buy beach towels now because a normal bath sheet fits around me. I can actually go around without a bra and not be in excruciating pain. Do you know what its like to wake up in pain because you went to bed naked and your boobs got in the way when your husband rolled over in his sleep? Do I need to go on about the advantages? Because I certainly can.
IMO, any man that is against his S/O having BR is incredibly selfish and should have to carry around a bag of sugar strapped to his body, 24/7
The fall of western society should be put on the shoulders of men that would prefer their women endure the few reasons I listed above.
IF there is a negative to my experience if would be that a mammogram is much more painful now, BUT the results are much easier to see and I can endure that pain once a year in exchange for all the other pain I've gotten rid of (and the money I've saved on not having to buy bigger clothes)
