For the 12+ plus years (on-and-off) of watching professional football, I've never once seen more than 3 minutes of an actually live Pro-Bowl.
Not saying it doesn't try to accomplish something, but in reality, to both the fans and a majority of the players, the game could not be more meaningless (only thing maybe more meaningless is the hype of some of the selections and the snubs).
