I recently discovered for myself how to use "ctrl+shift+left(right) arrow key" to highlight portions of sentences or paragraphs within a text editor's box. But that's the extent of my highlighting endeavors to transposing text on a computer.

I frequently find myself also using ctrl+shift home/end, as well as (even more frequently) up/down, and ctrl-arrows and home/end in general for skipping around in a text box (I just used both home and ctrl-arrow to add that parenthetical "even more frequently"). THEREFORE, software that fucks with the functionality of shift-ctrl-arrow/home/end, and/or keyboards that put the arrows, home, or end in the wrong places insight NERD RAGE. Worst culprit: a rash of keyboards that fuck with the six-pack. Latest culprit: Moblin operating system (at least the build I had) doesn't seem support ctrl-arrows at all. Couldn't reformat my netbook quick enough.
