A friend of mine bought a beaten up old '63 Mercedes 230-SL and hid it for 4 years whilst spending ridiculous amounts of money restoring it to showroom condition. He gave it to his wife on valentine's day! The bummer is that it doesn't have seatbelts (true to original) so she's too scared to drive it!! He's gonna have seatbelts fitted soon though... damned shame to see a car like that sit in a garage not moving.
