Actually when it comes to thumbnail galleries most of them do not require nor do they have any means of registering. They have links to other websites, but no links that will allow a surfer to register. I suppose that's because galleries were designed for garnering click throughs and not sign ups. I'd post a link to one as an example but this website won't allow that.
