It's hard to imagine a world without hats. I've been a casual collector for most of my life, for nothing more than to remind me of where I've been -not always having the capacity to recall days at a time- hat's are a handy and often confusing article. I still can't remember where the Sombrero with the donte-donte balls came from, but it and it's blood stain remind me of TJ in my teens so I'll stick with that for now.

Most of us fall in the middle, some hat's work for us, some don't. Aside from the utility a hat can be a grand gesture, a big middle finger to the world shouting 'I WILL NOT CONFORM TO YOUR COSMETICALLY PERFECT, PRODUCT ENHANCED, HAIR HELMET IDEAL OF WHAT I SHOULD LOOK LIKE!' or as simple as a cover-up for a good idea gone bad. None the less, the world would be far less colorful without a diverse selection of head gear.
