I know this is the most microscopic of minutia, but has anybody noticed the recurring theme in the beginning of most episodes now (not sure if this has been a mainstay throughout or not) showing a zoomed-in frame of the opening scene, with a subtle reference to something more sinister than what is eventually portrayed after the camera pans out? To simply state, when I've managed to catch this in an episode, it's an ironic twist of phrasing trying to convey a malevolent, sometimes implied-violent act, when in reality, it's something so mundane that it's an afterthought to most (like carving a turkey, or administering innoculation shots, for example). If I'm not mistaken, but that was also the "trademark" formula for the animated series
Rugrats for years upon years (except for the whole mad inner thoughts of a professed killer detail).
Besides that trivial thinking of mine, that last episode was a nice build-up to the oncoming final (season) episodes. If anything can be said about it at all, I absolutely felt the previews at the end of the episode were my favourite part of the entire hour. It was great. It was also very satisfying to see Christine squirm and plead for help.
