According to Johns Hopkins, Iraqi civilian deaths increased dramatically after the invasion across the board. Saddam was a horrible, murderous dictator, make no mistake, but he did not kill his citizens at anywhere near the same rate that they've been dying since he was dethroned and subsequently put to death. In fact, before 2003,
many of the civilian deaths in Iraq could be attributed to sanctions, instead of Saddam's tyrannical regime.
