Ummm, Hogan wasn't even the best golfer from Texas. Byron Nelson pretty much cemented that title for all eternity in the 40's and no one will even match his 11 straight victories and 18 in a season. But your overall point is well taken since he was married to his wife for 50 years.
That conceeded, I don't think that you can tie his lack of a major win this year solely to any marital problems. He did have a little boo-boo on his leg.
