I was at Best Buy the other day and while browsing the computer section, I noticed some very small and affordable laptops. After doing some research I gather I was looking at a selection of Intel Atom netbooks.

Given the low cost and small size, I'm intrigued by these models and was hoping to find out more information at the forums here.

I'd be using the netbook primarily for the Internet and word processing, and nothing overly resource heavy.

If anyone has experiences or feedback regarding these types of processors/netbooks, I'd appreciate it if you would share them.

I'd also be interested to read anything that's available in regards to individual brands/models and which ones are recommended above the others; whether that be through responses here or a link to a website that features reviews of the different models.

The portability and low cost are very desirable to me, and whereas I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on a new desktop computer or laptop right now, I would consider buying a netbook-type device providing the reviews are generally positive.
