This is where I was last week. In truth, the fair had one of its weakest showings in the last years, but there were still some interesting things to see.
Spanish artist Carlos Aires got creative with vinyl:
A detail of a painting by Portuguese artist Ana Vidigal that I liked:
Another detail of a weird backpack concoction by Portuguese artist Pedro Valdez Cardoso:
Reflections on the cassette tape installation by Portuguese artist Hugo Paquete:
The mandalas by Portuguese artist Alexandra Mesquita had an attractive glimmer to them:
A grotesque scene complete with crucified Hitler made an appearance, by Romanian artist Laureano Gisca:
This was by German photographer Rainer Elstermann, a recreation of Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring':
Marilyn made an appearance, looking very aged, by Polish artist Andrzej Dragan:
American artist Marc Sijan is the author of these hyper-realistic sculptures:
Something simple by Spanish artist Carmen Calvo:
An interesting drawing of some kind of gathering, by Spanish artist Gustavo Diaz Sosa:
My favourite piece, by Spanish artist Daniel Canogar, clever, simple, and original, merited a short video. I will post it up soon!
Edit: Here it is
