I'm surprised there's no thread for this.
For those unaware, Californication is a tale about a writer, Hank Moody (played brilliantly by David Duchovny), that moves with his family from new York to Los Angeles. But that really only scratches the surface. In the pilot episode alone Hank gets dream falated by a nun in a Catholic church with the Rolling stones playing in the background, only to wake up from a hummer being performed by a woman he'd met the day before, then he goes to see the horrible movie adaptation of his book, which stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and gets in a righteous fight with an asshole that's talking on his phone, and he wraps it up by accidentally picking up on some jailbait, taking her home and screwing her only to have her punch him right as he climaxes.
The show's fucking hilarious, though a bit R rated (don't watch this with the neighbor's kids). I love it.
Anyone else worship at the throne of Hank Moody?
