I didn't know the Amish don't eat potatoes...strange, but I believe you. I'll look into why that might be. Maybe they don't eat root vegetables? Is potato a root vegetable? ...such are the questions in LIFE.

I've mentioned this a few times lately since I'm still drinking my case of it, but beer reminds me of liquid life

I have to agree with ring....after a brief search, there are tons of traditional Amish potato recipes so it appears that they do eat potatoes.
