Paranormal Acitivity II
I think this is probably my best yet?
The scene opens in a clean, well lit apartment building. It is obvious by the proportions of the rooms that we are somewhere in urban America. The camera pans around and we see a slim woman, aged approx 25, walking around the kitchen preparing a meal. There are boxes of stuff around and it is obvious that the apartment has just been moved in. Jaunty music plays.
The camera then pans into the living room. There is a man sitting in a comfortable chair, wearing an Israeli Defence Force shirt and tracksuit trousers. The man is heavily built, wearing a full beard, and dynamically handsome - but in a very manly way. Aged approx 30, sporting broken nose and a scar across his forehead. The woman walks into the room, and kisses the man, who smiles happily and hugs her. The woman is played by actress Rachel Bilson... the meal is German hotdogs, onion, a little french mustard, and a chilled litre bottle of San Miguel. Beautiful.
_
The next scene it is a couple of days later, the couple are conversing in the kitchen, the male figure with a pint glass of stout and mild, Rachel Bilson with a large white wine of some other girl drink.
"I just feel like there is something wierd here!" Rachel Bilson's character insists
"Well, I dont want to dismiss what you feel, but its a new place, and maybe it's just the difference youre feeling... we just need to give things time to feel natural"
"But, for example, yesterday I 100% know I left my keys by the bed, and then they were in the kitchen"
"Well, we're still moving in... things are bound to be a bit of mess...."
Rachel Bilson's character gets mad as the man tries to dismiss her fears "I'm not an idiot! I know where I put the fucking keys!"
"Of course, I dont think youre an idiot...." the man replies "I just... I dont know any explanation for keys that move on themselves."
"I think this apartment is haunted!" blurts Rachel
"I, I just don't..."
"You dont believe me!"
"I dont disbelieve you... I just dont know what to say. I exist in a world where there's no such things as ghosts, I dont disbelieve you, I just dont, can't, conceive of that possibility" says the man in a confused voice.
The couple chat for a while longer. Rachel proposes they set up a video camera to try to catch evidence. Adam is doubtful, but agree's as this action seems to satisfy Rachel for now.

Scene 3
The couple are in bed. Suddenly Rachel wakes up, the bedroom door moves open on its own. She is terrified and wakes Adam up. He is groggy at first.
"The door..." musters Rachel "Oh God!"
Adam, not really comprehending what is happening, springs out of bed, angered that anything would upset his girl in this way, even an unseen thing. His big hands bunched into fists, a mean look of dislike fixed on his face he stalks towards he door and searches the apartment. There is strange knocking sounds, but the place is empty
"Leave it out" Adam says quietly into the air, his eyes full of danger.
Rachel cries out from the bedroom.
Adam rushes back and see's Rachel in a state of fear.
"What is it?" Adam asks urgently
"That noise!" Rachel wails tearfully
"If there is one more noise, a knock, a creaking door - anything! Then I will find the ghost responsible, cover him in flour so I can see the c*** and then stab him!" speaks Adam in an urgent yet quiet voice. There is a painful and fearful silence. Rachel is wide eyed and Adam is grim and serious.
As Adam is standing near the door, he see's something Rachel does not. The PC screen flicks on suddenly in the hall, and very slowly on the screen a message types out by itself
"YOU ARE THE ENEMY. I WILL KILL."
Adam walks out the room and deletes the message, types in its place
"Don't ever try to swap language with me sonny. That would be the worst mistake you've ever made in your life or death"
He flicks the screen off and walks back into the bedroom, kicking the door closed behind him
He gets into bed and hugs Rachel.
"Bloody hell" he says simply
"What?" Rachel is still scared badly
"That knocking!" Adam says... "Still, new buildings do make funny sounds"
"That wasnt the building" Rachel is certain
"I dont know" is all Adam can say. Eventually Rachel falls asleep, Adam does not. His eyes are still fixed on the door which opened by itself, his hooded eyes glaring with anger. The door does not open again

Scene 4
It is evening. The scene is the apartment.
"Adam, last night was too much, I cant stay here..."
"But we put all our cash into the deposit..." the big man starts
"Adam, please, I..."
"Ok, Ok. Of course if you dont want to stay here... I dont want you to be scared or unhappy. I wont put any pressure on you to stay if you arent happy here. We can crash at my cousin's place, in a few months we can get another place."
"I know you think I'm stupid..."
"I dont think youre stupid... I heard the knocks too. It was wierd"
Adam is torn between telling Rachel about the message - which would prove she was right about the ghost, and not wanting to scare her anymore. He also is torn between wanting to stand down the ghost, and not wanting to pressure Rachel to stay in the apartment that terrifies her. In the end he says
"Look, tomorrow - we'll move our stuff out, Ill speak to my cousin. I dont like this place either. Its for the best"
Rachel buries her face in Adam's chest, kisses him, and then looks scared again
"One more night"
"Just one more"
_
Rachel and Adam are both awake in bed
"I have been reading abut ghosts a bit" Rachel admits
"Well, thats natural" says Adam "I wonder what they are made of?"
"Most of the theories say it is electro-magnetic energy" says Rachel
Something goes grey in Adam's voice and him "oh. I never heard that before"
_
Later Rachel and Adam are asleep. The door is flung open by an unseen hand with servere force. Rachel screams and Adam is awake and on his feet in an instant. A picture frame crashes to the floor a grey shape is seen - shifting and vicious and blurred - in the doorway. A sense of mounting terror fills the room
"You would attak ME?" Adam declares in a voice mixed with astonishment and rage
A low animal growl is heard. Rachel is near hysterical with terror
"You would attack me and my girlfriend, in MY OWN HOUSE?"
Demonic glowing red eyes form at the centre of the grey shape, the room seems to vibrate. A short knife left lying in the hall trembles and then flies at Adam straight at his face.
Rachel screams. But as the camera pans back to Adam, his hand is held, palm forwards in the direction of the ghost and the knife. The knife is suspended in the air, hovering utterly still, about 6 nches from Adam's hand.
Adam's voice is slow, rising, increduluous:
"You would attack me...the Mutant Master of Magnetism... when you are a manifestation of... MAGNETIC ENERGY?"
Quiet fury burns in Adam's face. The demonic eyes seem to widen for a second, a strange expression - fear?
Adam raises his other hand and gives a short cry. The polarity of the magentic force in the room is reversed and condensed, time itself seems to flex and waver for a second... there is a cry, inhuman - the raw, the tattered scream of a nervless animal shuddering in death.
Adam steps over the half visible grey shape which now lies broken on the floor, its component parts already disconnected and scattering
"I had a couple of pints of holy water earlier" says Adam in a more friendly voice.
He levers his cock out and urinates on the twice dead corpse of the ghost. The remains fade and seem to burn at he same time, like so much manure dumped in strong acid.
Adam shakes himself and tucks it back into the room
_
That morning, Adam and Rachel are seen leaving the joint. A transit van is full of their stuff. They do not look back fearfully at a high window, for there is nothing to see, the apartment is truly empty. Rachel smiles happily and kisses Adam's shoulder as he helps her into the van. He himself enters the driver side and the van pulls off easily from the empty apartment
The End
