this is a great conversation we have stumbled upon. a few years ago, I had this magazine called "Car and Driver". I liked it very much. But, besides the superb content of the publication, there was an advertisement within the pages. It was that of an atomic, perfectly-timed, galaxial, E=Mc squared sort of watch. Infallible. I wanted to buy it. Only $99.95! It wasn't particularly stylish at all, but having human's absolute measure of time and space on this habitable rock? I'd have 3% more power than anybody else around me at any time I wore this thing!
By the way, Nick, I found your site:
First Atomic Clock Wristwatch
I can't find the ad on the internet right now: give me some time to sleep on it, and in the morning, I'll ruffle through my shoeboxes and see if I can find the page. I'm pretty sure I kept it all these years, just waiting for the time I might get a landline and a credit card (neither have yet come to fruition).
