Actually, a huge number of McDonald's ARE local businesses, as they are franchises owned by local business people who pay to use the McDonald's brand. Not to mention the local people employed, local taxes paid, and local economy stimulated.
And parents who take their kids to McDonalds for any occasion are already teaching them that McDonald's is good and money is more important than health.
