You can set it up to where there's a period of time (say, 2 hours,) for the poster to edit and / or delete their post, excluding original posts of a thread. This prevents a lot of confusion and loss of content to forums in my experience. Otherwise, you end up with meaningless threads like that 'got in a fight in front of my gf' one.
