Fluff???????? His performances in these movies were downright amazing. I don't see how anybody can watch The Aviator or The Departed and then say he lacks emotion.

The only movie in that list that wasn't fluff was The Departed..and even then, the only reason it worked out so well was because of Damon and Nicholson. Blood Diamond was horrid. Catch Me if You Can was a snooze fest, Gangs of New York was overdone, The Aviator was another snooze fest. This isn't always the actors fault, of course, but an ok movie can become a good movie with the help of good acting. For me, it's just that I don't really get a sense of the emotional weight carried out by other actors that have been mentioned here. When I watch a movie with Leo in it, everything feels forced.. when I mention a good actor, it's usually because the emotion and settings feel natural.
