As far as the OP is concerned, it is instinctual as animals to seek multiple partners and further the species, while it is society and religion that has tried to eliminate that instinct. Marriage is a religious rite, after all, and it promotes complacency which is great for the government and for churches everywhere. Few things settle people down like a spouse and kids. So I say get after it.
