I did some part-time work from home answering calls for the infomercials and was able to buy it at an employee price for the two-fer deal that was going during the last holiday season.
I gave one to my older daughter who uses it on occasion but prefers her Chi for straightening.
My two teens prefer their Chi, too.
The Chi doesn't work well for me since I have thick curly, frizzy hair, so I've been happy with the Instyler the few times I've used it. Results are good although to do it right, it takes me about an hour. Since I don't look right with my hair stick-straight, I like that you can actually control it and do soft curls.
I'll give it a thumbs-up. Just don't overpay. Some googling or eBay may net a better price.
