I concur with the comfort factor of the S&W M&P. It's a real comfy guy to hold, the swappable backstraps are money (MIAD on my AR). I figure you just can't get any more basic than a 9mm Glock. Everybody has them, uses them, and you're practically tripping over parts and accessories at any gun shop, gun show, or practical shooting event. Mags? Holsters? Triggers? Sights? Other gizmos? ZAHAL.ORG? No problem. If something bad happens... Glock armorers are a dime a dozen and most have parts on 'em. The Glock isn't the most spectacular pistol out there (I prefer the H&K USP over the Glock any day) but you can't beat the Glock on popularity. It's like that kinda plain girl you banged in college... she wasn't a rock star, but she was always there and totally dependable.
