I'd have to agree with the posts above. Incredible that the waiter had time and the inclination to do the damage over one incident (or even one client). More incredible was the fact that he stayed until the police came...

Kudos to Sizzler for picking up the tab on the landscaping though. They didn't need to but I think that it was a good thing for them to do. And no I don't think it sets a precedent. If this person would have done worse damage (like burn down the house) I don't think Sizzler would have paid to have the house re-built. They would have simply fired the employee and the customers could have gone after the employee for damages. In this case though, the damage was small enough that Sizzler's response was appropriate (IMO).
