Nothing has changed. No new meds, supplements, new foods, etc. The only change in my life has been losing my job. But that took place less than 2 weeks ago. Oh, and we started using a new lube about a month ago, but I seriously doubt that would affect my head and nipple sensitivity.
Dumbass question alert - if I'm pregnant, do I really have to wait until the 1st day of my missed period for the test to be accurate? I'd think it'd show up now if I'm actually having symptoms.
I really don't think this is what's wrong, but I'm just throwing it out there.

I suppose it's possible that the loss of your job could cause anxiety, which could affect hormones, but that's just a guess.
As for the pregnancy tests, for a home urine test, yes, you do have to wait. In fact, research suggests that they are far more accurate if you wait until a week after the date of your expected period. The levels of human chorionic gonadotropin hormone that indicate pregnancy take time to build up to sufficient levels to be detected in your urine.
Blood tests can be more reliable, with sufficient concentration occurring in the bloodstream within 7-12 days of possible conception. They can also measure hormone levels instead of only producing a yes/no result.
