I got the string treatment once too...Dad tied one end to my tooth and one end to the door - I was terrified but of course Dad knew the tooth was ready and there wasn't an ounce of pain.
Fast forward 20+ years...I only grew 3 wisdom teeth and my dentist said 2 needed to be removed but there would be no need for surgery....30 minutes after he started I was choking on my own blood and he had to stop and have me rushed over to the ER dental clinic for surgery....I needed stitches in my mouth! Fricken HORRIBLE....
