Q: How do you get America to join a war?

A: Tell them it's nearly over.

I love the fact that many Americans have such a litle grasp of their own history that they make fun of how the French are "cheese eating surrender monkeys" without considering that had it not been for French soldiers, French generals, and the French Navy, the Thirteen Colonies would not have been able to throw off the government from London that so upset them.

America as a nation owes its entire present existence to one of the few French victories overseas since the seventeenth century.

Something else that makes me horrible - I'm a pedant.
