Armin Mersmann is a graphite artist living in the United States who is renowned for the power and intensity of his work. You will have to go far before you find an artist of his caliber who is so generous in spirit, helpful, and an all-round credit to the field of art.
He has a website
Artwork of Armin Mersmann which shows the range and ability he has developed over a lifetime of dedicated work.
Known as nimra on Deviantart.com he has an homage to his step-father that is available for people to use as a teaching aid, example, touchstone of the artists craft . . . call it what you will.
I just read in his journal how he has found a youtube ripoff by someone posing as the creator of his work in order to massage their own ego.
I thought I would put this up there as an example of what people-who-cannot will do in order to seem to be people-who-can. I was a little angry, and sickened, but in the main was more struck by the poverty and weakness displayed by the youtube poster.
It would be interesting to know if there are any 3-D repercussions in this low-life's life after such a tacky performance.
