So it seems a lot of the newer band games all support the functionality of playing online with friends, I spent a good 3 hours or so last night playing GH:WT with a friend down in Fresno, CA right from my living room
The different consoles all use different matchmaking services so xboxers can't play with PS3, and Wii owners.
Sucks but thats how it is for now.
