gift card Fu
Over the course of a year, I collected a few hundred dollars in gift cards. Here's how I leveraged them.
I negotiated a good deal on an efficient, front load washing machine. I agreed to apply for the store credit card and got even more discounted from my purchase. Note, I did not have to use the credit card. I just had to sign up.
The washer was part of a rebate program. So I got money back, AND I spend less on electricity, water and detergent when I launder.
But wait, there's more. The Public Utilities Commission was handing out $100 to people who allowed them to monitor their washing machine energy consumption for two weeks. I signed up!
So I ended up with TWO discounts, TWO rebates and a machine that costs less to run than my old machine.
