When I first heard of Twitter, I came to the mistaken idea that because it was so simplistic it wouldn't become popular. It's not that I was snobbish, but sending information in incomplete sentences, especially when the information is generally unimportant, seems like a waste of time. Turns out I was wrong. Twitter is pretty popular, so much so that every time I tune into the news they're talking about it as if it's a story.
So what's out there for people like me?
Woofer. Woofer is exactly like Twitter, only with one key difference: the minimum is 1,400 characters. If you want to post something to Woofer, be prepared to elaborate a little bit.
