Dealing with your daughters GYN problems
So as some of you know Amanda turned 16 last week and it looks like she is going to be getting her introduction to the wonderful world on female problems earlier than I'd have liked.
She got her period when she was 12 (almost 13) and lately she has been having a lot of pain. The doctor ordered a pelvic US for her and we got the results today. She's got a cyst on her right ovary that is the same size as her uterus. Its measuring 5.1 x 4.2 x 4.9 cm (roughly 2 inches).
She's been referred to a gyn who THANKFULLY has scheduled her in for Sept 4th (not the months off I was imagining) to see her, do her first pelvic exam and go over her options.
I've had cyst problems since after she was born, luckily for me BC pills took care of it and they said that might be an option for her. On top of facing her first exam (2 years earlier than we'd planned) she is MORTIFIED that if she has to go on BC someone might find out and think her, um more social than she is if you get my meaning.
I'd rather having my entire female area covered in cysts than have her go thru this right now
its going to be a very long two weeks
