I would say that the reliance on DNA evidence has been too high in courts around the world. This is a welcome development that will ensure that DNA isn't seen as the proof beyond proof that is is currently regarded as.
And like stevie667 I am very much interested what new things we can do once the DNA fabrication has developed far enough for it to become useful to us.
